Data & Resources

The McCarthy Group makes available data from publications and other investigations. Data and resources are shared from this website and third party repositories.

RepositoryDescription
EGG Consortium The EGG (Early Growth Genetics) Consortium represents a collaborative effort to combine data from multiple genome-wide association studies in order to identify additional human genome loci that have an impact on a variety of traits related to early growth.
DIAGRAM Consortium The DIAGRAM (DIAbetes Genetics Replication And Meta-analysis) consortium is a grouping of researchers with shared interests in performing large-scale studies to characterise the genetic basis of type 2 diabetes, and a principal focus on samples of European descent.
MAGIC Consortium MAGIC (the Meta-Analyses of Glucose and Insulin-related traits Consortium) represents a collaborative effort to combine data from multiple GWAS to identify additional loci that impact on glycemic and metabolic traits.
Type 2 Diabetes Knowledge Portal A database of DNA sequence, functional and epigenomic information, and clinical data from studies on type 2 diabetes and its macro- and microvascular complications, and creating analytic tools to analyze these data.
dbGaP The database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) was developed to archive and distribute the data and results from studies that have investigated the interaction of genotype and phenotype in Humans. Data from the Genetics of Type 2 Diabetes Consortium (GoT2D) is available from dbGaP study: phs000840.v1.p1
European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA) The EGA is a service for permanent archiving and sharing of all types of personally identifiable genetic and phenotypic data resulting from biomedical research projects. Data from the Genetics of Type 2 Diabetes Consortium (GoT2D) is available from EGA study: EGAS00001001460
GRASP (NHLBI) Genome-Wide Repository of Associations Between SNPs and Phenotypes (GRASP) searches genome-wide association study (GWAS) catalog data housed at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).
GWAS Catalog (NHGRI-EBI) The GWAS Catalog provides a consistent, searchable, visualisable and freely available database of published SNP-trait associations, which can be easily integrated with other resources, and is accessed by scientists, clinicians and other users worldwide.
